Temporary Forum Announcements

I noticed that during the recent long server downtime, a few GameSages had to repeat themselves in the Shoutbox to inform the baffled players as well as calm down the frustrated ones.

Although this thread was around to inform the confused players that the problem was being addressed, a lot of players still didn't notice it.

I thought that some sort of SB-sticky may help, but I'm not sure how nicely that would go.

So instead, perhaps use the (Locked) Board section of the Megaten page (below the forum boards directory) to serve as a place for temporary announcements; i.e. server downtimes and maintenance. Leave it to no replies and only let GM and GS to post there.
