Bad Act 2.10 - You and What Army

You make your way to Souhonzan, where you last heard Seraphim was. As usual, you find him chatting with a Demon Snack Salesman.

"OHMYGOD!" Dani-pyon screams from behind you. She rushes past you to Seraphim, cradling her hands to her chest, adoration in her eyes. "Is it true you own the like, super rare Alice TCG card?! Can I see it?"

Seraphim looks distinctly uncomfortable. In perhaps the wisest move of her life, Kirenenko pulls Dani-pyon out of Seraphim's face. You cast your gaze heavenward in exasperation.

No time for distractions. Not from the OkoNews girls, and not from your fears. Besides, if Seraphim is uncooperative, it seems like all you'll really need to do is let Dani-pyon loose again, and that should solve any issue that may arise.

"Seraphim, if you would be so kind as to tell us your whereabouts on the day Jaynestown was murdered?" you ask.

"Well," Seraphim begins, pushing up a pair of glasses higher on his nose. "That ruffian paid me a visit in my morning ruminations with the Demon Snack Salesmen Coalition, which resulted in some unpleasantness. Afterwards, at around 6pm, I left to visit Lord Judah to convince him of the wisdom and general awesomeness of the idea of hosting a table top gaming convention in Arcadia. It was a long process, but I think I made some significant process, until about 1am when I was escorted out for some reason or another. I decide I might as well take this opportunity to get a bite to eat, and ventured off to chat with a Messian Vendor. He can verify my presence while getting my food-it took about 10 minutes, from maybe 1:25am to 1:35am. After eating, I went back to the Demon Snack Salesmen Coalition house and remained there for the rest of the night. I arrived at 1:45am or so."

You nod, taking into account the intervals in which Seraphim has no witness to his alibi. You remember what Lord Judah told you, as well.

"Seraphim, Lord Judah said you saw something that may be very important. Could you elaborate?"

"Oh, that. Well, I was talking with Judah again today, you see. Trying to get that convention going, after all. I mentioned I saw some people last night in Arcadia. I can't be sure of the details, due to my encounter with that ruffian; my glasses were broken and not replaced until today. In any case, I saw two figures on my way to the Messian Vendor. One was definitely wearing some kind of cloak. That was about 1:20am. Then, after I had finished eating, I saw only one figure, very bulky and moving kind of odd-like. I can tell you no more details than that, as I am relatively blind without my glasses."

"Thanks, that helps a lot. You said you had a run-in with Jaynestown?"

"Yes, that brute. He insisted I listen to this vile tale about something or other PvP, and when I refused to listen, he took my glasses and threw them on the ground."

"You didn't retaliate?" Kirenenko pipes up.

"No. I'm an adult. Using my widespread knowledge of hand to hand fighting for such triviality is beyond me. Even if they were limited edition incredibly modified and expensive glasses." From his tone, you're not sure Seraphim is as unaffected at his glasses destruction as he claims to be.

You ponder this new information. You're deep into thought when you hear Dani-pyon and Kirenenko start to plot ways to trap Seraphim so Dani-pyon could lift his Alice card.

Better make your way to the last interview before they attempt their plan, or worse.
